On Thursday, New York Red Bulls' Jesse Marsch suggested Ronald Zubar might not be available for Sunday's game against the Montreal Impact, but it also appeared that Daniel Royer's return to fitness was progressing exactly as hoped.
On Friday, concern shifted to two notable absentees from training: Mike Grella and Kemar Lawrence. For Grella, it was a second straight day out of training. Lawrence had been held out on Wednesday, returned Thursday, but had to cut his comeback session short. Marsch is confident about Grella's status, but his starting left back is in a race against time to get fit for Sunday's match:
"Mike will be ready to go for Sunday, but Lawrence on Thursday tweaked his hamstring so he's been inside all day, hopefully he will get out on Saturday to see where he is.
