As the New York Red Bulls continue preparations for Sunday’s matchup with Atlanta United, Jesse Marsch’s side received a boost in the back line.
With the conclusion of CONCACAF’s World Cup Qualifying, New York has regained Panama defenders Michael Amir Murillo and Fidel Escobar.
With a crucial match on Sunday, Marsch said they’re both “very high on confidence” and ready to contribute this weekend.
“I think they both had an incredible week with big celebrations in Panama, but they’ve both come back and they said they’re ready to go,” Marsch said. “Fidel played 90 on Tuesday so we’ll just evaluate how he’s doing, but we expect them both to be able to contribute and it’s good to have them back.
