Matt Miazga's string of starts for Vitesse came to an end on Saturday, November 19. The team traveled to Heerenveen hoping to break a four-game winless streak in Eredivisie. Unfortunately, that streak has coincided with Miazga's presence in the starting lineup. Head coach Henk Fraser opted for a more experienced center back pairing for his team's latest match, tasking 32-year-old Arnold Kruiswijk with the job of partnering Guram Kashia in the middle of the back line.
The change didn't quite pay off for Vitesse. Lewis Baker's 34-minute goal was ultimately matched by the home team in the 84th minute.
