The New York Red Bulls drew 1-1 against Real Salt Lake at Rio Tinto Stadium in Week 2.
Cristian Cásseres Jr. struck a powerful right-footed shot from long distance to give the Red Bulls the first goal of the afternoon. Just as the game against FC Cincinnati, Chris Armas’ men got on the scoresheet within the first 20 minutes of the game.
The Venezuelan’s goal came several minutes after David Jensen’s massive save in the 11th minute to keep the game at 0-0.
In the first 45 minutes, New York only had two shots on target against Real Salt Lake’s four but went into halftime with the lead.
