After falling to the Seattle Sounders 3-1 on the road last week the Red Bulls will look to steady the ship this week at home against a Real Salt Lake entering a period of transition.
RSL fired head coach Jeff Cassar only three games into the season as the Western Conference team started the season with two losses and a tie. Daryl Shore took over the team from Cassar on an interim basis.
Salt Lake will also be without many of their key figures this week including Nick Rimando (United States) and Albert Rusnak (Slovakia) who will be away on international duty, and the squad has a slew of injury concerns including Joao Plata (hip contusion), Jordan Allen (right quad strain), Aaron Maund (hamstring injury) and Justen Glad (knee injury).
