Injury will keep Romario Williams out of whatever remains of Atlanta United’s 2018 season.

Romario Williams is out for the rest of Atlanta United’s 2018 season, per a club announcement on Monday, November 19.

He sustained an injury in training prior to the second leg of Atlanta’s Eastern Conference semifinal series against NYCFC, and that has since been diagnosed as ligament damage in his left ankle - sufficient to see Williams ruled out of any further participation in his team’s playoff run.

Williams role for Atlanta this season was mostly as a lightly-used back-up forward. He made 17 appearances, but clocked only 211 minutes. He scored his one and only goal in MLS this season back on April 7 against LAFC.
