The New York Red Bulls continue their 2017 preseason with a friendly against PDL side FC Tucson. This game has taken on greater significance to RBNY since adverse weather conditions forced the cancellation of the team's scrimmage with Sacramento Republic.
The cancelled match in Sacramento had been scheduled for February 10, and would have functioned as the Red Bulls' penultimate warm-up before its season-opener on February 22. The game against Tucson was intended to be a run-out for players who didn't see a lot of time in Sacramento, but it has now been brought forward (by a day - it was originally scheduled for Sunday, February 12) which should mean first team players will have appropriate recovery time before they are asked to play NYCFC on February 15.
