The New York Red Bulls’ new right-back, Tom Edwards, arrives in New York after playing for Stoke City and Fleetwood Town. At 22-years-old, he’s had experience in the Premier League, EFL Championship and EFL League One.
After the 2015-16 and 2016-17 seasons, Edwards won Stoke City’s U-18 Player of the Year Award.
In 2019, Tom Edwards was named Sir Stanley Matthews Stoke City Footballer of the Year and became the first homegrown Stoke footballer to achieve this award since its launch. That same year he became Stoke City’s 2018-19 Community Champion.
In 2020, Edwards was named as Stoke City’s PFA Community Champion for the 2019-20 season.
