En route to a thrilling 4-3 victory, New York’s midfield maestro orchestrated both the game-tying and game-winning goals in quite spectacular fashion. Both goals sent the Red Bull Arena crowd into frenzy, but which one was best?
That all depends upon whom you’re asking.
“It’s hard to say because they’re both excellent goals,” midfielder Sacha Kljestan told NewYorkRedBulls.com. “But I’d probably say the free kick because free kicks aren’t easy to score nowadays; goalies are athletic, you have to get it up and over the wall, and the pressure of a game-winner instead of an [equalizer] is bigger.
