New York Red Bulls defenders Fidel Escobar and Michael Amir Murillo both started and went the full 90 for Panama in a 3-0 loss to Japan on Friday.
Murillo started in the central midfield, while Escobar started in the backline.
The Samurai Blue got their two goals from Takumi Minamino in the 42nd minute and by Junya Ito in the 66th. The third goal was scored via own goal, by Panama defender Harold Cummings in the 85th minute.
Escobar and Murillo's next match with Panama will be against South Korea on October 16.
