TUCSON, Ariz. (February 25, 2017) – The New York Red Bulls fell in their 2017 Desert Diamond Cup finale against New England Revolution, 2-0.
New York’s starting lineup featured three MLS players, three USL players, two SuperDraft picks, two trialists and one Red Bulls academy player.
Kelyn Rowe opened the scoring for New England in the 52nd minute, burying a chipped shot from the top of the box, and Lee Nguyen put the match out of reach with a goal in the 89th minute.
With the loss, New York finishes Desert Diamond Cup with a 0-2-1 record.
