Dax McCarty rises to sixth on New York Red Bulls' all-time assists list

Two assists and the game-winning goal: Dax McCarty had a memorable night during the New York Red Bulls' 3-2 win over Philadelphia Union on October 1.

The RBNY club captain has already etched his name in the team's history: he is the Red Bulls' all-time record-holder for regular-season minutes played (14,201) and games started (161). And against Philly, he took another step toward the all-time, all-competitions RBNY appearance records that appear to be his destiny. He is now tied with Mike Petke for all-time, career starts (185), and getting close to the club records for games played (197; McCarty has 194) and minutes (16,561; McCarty has 16,425).
