At the start of October it seemed like it would be yet another rough year watching the New York Red Bulls stretch their depth thin heading into the playoffs. Not this time though.
On the heels of Ronald Zubar and Omer Damari demonstrating their match fitness, the Red Bulls will see the last injury-afflicted, prospective playoff starter report for on-field duty. Attacker Daniel Royer has been tipped to rejoin the squad for the start of the playoffs.
According to NewYorkRedbulls.com's Andrew Vazzano, head coach Jesse Marsch said on Wednesday that the Austrian attacker will be "ready for the weekend" and is getting "closer and closer to 100%" after sustaining an injury in September that threatened to sideline him for over a month.
