Cásseres Jr. started all group stage games for La Vinotinto, and even got an assist in the second group stage game against Ecuador.
According to stats distributed by CONMEBOL after each game, against Chile, the Red Bulls midfielder finished the game with three recoveries; against Ecuador, he got seven recoveries and three interceptions to go with his assist; against Colombia, he got nine recoveries and one interception; against Argentina, he finished the game with five recoveries and one interception.
