The New York Red Bulls have clinched a spot in the 2018 Audi MLS Cup Playoffs with New England’s draw on Saturday night.
The Red Bulls head to the postseason for the ninth consecutive season, the longest streak out of all major New York metro area teams.
New York is still battling for the 2018 Supporters’ Shield, given to the club with the best regular season record. They locked up Supporters’ Shields in 2013 and 2015.
The team is also looking to stay within the top two spots of the Eastern Conference to secure a bye in the first round of the playoffs.
