Clarkstown SC Eagles scored 40 goals and conceded just nine in their 10-game regular season in NPSL 2017. That phenomenal scoring record somehow only translated into a 6-2-2 record and second place in the Keystone Conference.
But second place in its Conference was sufficient to qualify the team for the NPSL season. On July 12, the team played West Chester United SC in the semifinals of its Conference playoffs, winning 1-0. On July 15, the Eagles went on the road to play the team that had beaten it into second place in the regular season: NJ Copa FC.
