Michael Amir Murillo has been a regular on the New York Red Bulls bench since he joined the club on loan in mid-February. He has yet to play a competitive minute for the team, but it is rare for new signing to step straight into the starting line-up under head coach Jesse Marsch.
Despite a relative lack of visibility, however, Murillo has retained his national team's confidence. Panama head coach Hernan Dario Gomez has named the 21-year-old to his 24-man squad for the March round of CONCACAF World Cup qualifiers.
