While Tyler Adams and the USMNT are going forward in the FIFA U-20 World Cup, New York Red Bulls II attacker Douglas Martinez and the Honduras national team are going home.
Martinez started and played the full game for Honduras, as his team beat Vietnam 2-0 on Sunday, May 28, to claim its first points of the tournament after losses to France and New Zealand earlier in Group E play.
With three points, Honduras finished in third place in Group E. Unfortunately, the team's margin of victory wasn't enough to overtake Argentina in the third-place rankings, to potentially challenge for a lucky-loser's spot in the knockout rounds.
