New York Red Bulls midfielder Ben Mines was named to his first MLS Homegrown game, and will be competing against Tigres UANL’s Under-20 Team. According to Mines, he's very excited to be a part of the All-Star festivities in Atlanta.
"Been really exciting so far," Mines said. "And really fun to meet up with the guys, who most of them I've already known and played with. It's just been great so far."
A number of current Red Bulls players, such as Tyler Adams, Sean Davis and Derrick Etienne, Jr. all took part in the homegrown game in recent years, and with the success those players before him are having, Mines knows this is a significant accomplishment.
