The New York Red Bulls are having a historic 2018 season.
Coming into Sunday’s match against the San Jose Earthquakes, the Red Bulls have broken their franchise record for most points in a season (62), with the previous mark being 60 points. The club has 19 wins on the season, breaking the teams’ single-season wins mark set back in the 2015 season. After defeating Atlanta United 2-0 on September 30, New York has also tied the club record with 13 clean sheets on the season.
The Red Bulls are still in contention for the Supporters’ Shield, which would be their third in six seasons, as they currently sit a point behind Atlanta United for the top spot in all of MLS.
