With their second pick of the 2016 National Women's Soccer League (NWSL) draft, Sky Blue FC went for an international pick from England by way of Hofstra University.
Sky Blue selected Hofstra's all-time leading forward Leah Galton with the 13th pick of the college draft. An England native, Galton compiled 48 goals and 26 assists in four years at the Long Island University. She holds the school record for points with 122. Her 26 assists tie her for the school record in that category.
Galton was four-time ll-Conference selection and three time conference Player of the Year.
