Luis Robles was Named MLS Goalkeeper of the Year after a season spent rewriting the franchise record books, setting new club marks for career wins, single-season wins, and shutouts. Robles recorded all 18 of the Red Bulls wins in 2015, more than any of MLS goalkeeper this season, and extended his iron man streak to 106 consecutive league starts for the Red Bulls, the second-longest such streak in league history.
Robles was also named the goalkeeper for the MLS Best XI, and finished the season with 86 saves, nine shutouts and a 1.26 goals against average. Robles became the club’s all-time shutouts leader in August with back-to-back shutout wins over New York City FC and Toronto FC, passing Tony Meola’s mark of 25.
