Zac Jones has decided to leave UMass and has signed an entry-level contract with the New York Rangers.
The news is now official, and according to Larry Brooks, Jones’ contract won’t include any performance bonuses.
Have learned that no performance bonuses will be included in entry level contract, which is major for NYR. Jones could have become a UFA by staying in school two more seasons. https://t.co/vBTNpz9VBB

This is important for the Rangers in the big picture, as they have a quite a few players on the roster already carrying big potential bonuses.
