WASHINGTON — He’s trying to leave it in the past, just like the rest of the team.
But that wasn’t so much the case on Monday night, when Keith Yandle was left alone with his thoughts, and he stewed as Game 3 replayed in his mind.
The 1-0 loss to the Capitals was arguably his worst game as a Ranger, one that put his team down in this second-round, best-of-seven series 2-1. It was also a game — for him — epitomized by a single play that was hardly Yandle’s fault, the lone goal going off his skate, off the skate of his goaltender Henrik Lundqvist, and into the net.
