McDonagh said broken bone in foot, which is not fully healed, is not an issue
GREENBURGH – Rangers captain Ryan McDonagh was glad, and not many people surprised, to see his long-time defense partner Dan Girardi back on the No. 1 pair in practice Monday.
Glad, and not surprised, because Alex “All Series, Baby!” Ovechkin and the 8-2 Washington Capitals are coming to the Garden for the first meeting of the season Tuesday night.
Girardi struggled terribly early this season – as did many of the Rangers top players – and was demoted to a third pair with Keith Yandle.
