Winnipeg Jets become first team in NHL history to be 15-1

NEW YORK -- Mark Scheifele and Kyle Connor each scored twice, Connor Hellebuyck made 33 saves, and the Winnipeg Jets made history Tuesday night, becoming the first team in NHL history to win 15 of its first 16 games, authoring a 6-3 victory over the New York Rangers.

Gabriel Vilardi and Vladislav Namestnikov also scored for the Jets, who have now won seven straight games, and remained perfect on the road at 7-0.

Will Cuylle, Alexis Lafreniere and Kaapo Kakko scored for the Rangers, who dropped their second straight home game following last Thursday's 6-1 loss to the Buffalo Sabres.
