Wild claim Jarret Stoll off waivers from Rangers

The Minnesota Wild claimed center Jarret Stoll off waivers from the New York Rangers on Tuesday.

Stoll, 33, had one goal and two assists in 29 games with New York. He had gone 18 games without a point. He was put on waivers Monday.

The 13-year veteran won two Stanley Cups with the Los Angeles Kings before signing with the Rangers last summer. Stoll has scored 141 goals and 382 points in 821 games with the Oilers, Kings and Rangers. A two-way center who can win draws (.589 this year), Stoll should be able to help the Wild on the penalty kill.
