In the grand schem.e of things, the Rangers calling up Filip Chytil and Ryan Lindgren from AHL Hartford to be ready for Tuesday night’s Garden match against the Lightning isn’t going to change all that much.
Maybe the arrival of some new blood might freshen things, but the problems with the Rangers 3-5-1 getaway that has included six losses in the past seven games are bigger than what two young players can solve on their own.
Chytil does have the best chance to make an impact, as the 20-year-old center has been terrific for the Wolf Pack since he didn’t make the varsity squad out of training camp.
