John Davidson is expected to return to Columbus as president of hockey operations of the Blue Jackets, according to a report.
The Columbus Dispatch reported the news, and said an announcement could come as early as Thursday. Davidson and the team did not immediately respond to messages seeking confirmation.
Davidson was hired by Columbus in Oct. 2012 after six years as president of the St. Louis Blues. Davidson was at the helm when the franchise hired both general manager Jarmo Kekalainen and coach John Tortorella, who recently completed his time with the franchise after six years.
