The New York Riveters trade Shenae Lundberg to Connecticut for Chelsea Laden.
In an announcement this evening, the NWHL informed the public of the first trade in league history. Previously, it had been reported that there would not be trades during the season, as part of the signing process was to take living situations into consideration.
Nevertheless, the New York Riveters have traded goaltender Shenae Lundberg to the Connecticut Whale in exchange for goaltender Chelsea Laden.
Shenae Lundberg appeared in one game for the Riveters, on October 18 in relief, and surrendered 4 goals on 32 shots in 28:56 of ice time.
