EDMONTON, Alberta — The Rangers may not have much at stake in the standings, but they sure are involved in plenty of tense third periods.
After finally being on the right side of one Saturday against the Devils, snapping a six-game losing streak, the Rangers began a four-game road trip Monday night with another of their patented one-goal games, ending in familiar fashion.
Connor McDavid set up Leon Draisaitl for the winner, 35 seconds into overtime, to keep the Oilers’ playoff dreams alive with a 3-2 win over the Rangers at Rogers Place.
