With the firing of David Quinn, the New York Rangers are looking for a new head coach. Around the league, pundits have been stating that the Rangers will be looking for an experienced head coach. Of course, the idea is that an experienced head coach would have what it takes to mold the experienced players with the wealth of young talent to make them a playoff team next season.
Many inside and outside of the New York Metro area have listed available coaches such as Gerald Gallant, Rick Tocchet, and former Rangers head coach John Tortorella as likely candidates to fill the open head coach position.
