I was about to write how the addition of Jarret Stoll and the dramatic improvement of Derick Brassard at the dots had turned a deficiency into an asset for the Rangers, but then I reviewed the stats only to find the Blueshirts are still 26th overall in faceoff efficiency, which represents a mere baby step up from last season’s 28th-overall ranking.
So in other words, Stoll, a venerable master of the faceoff universe who is ranked eighth in the league at 58.3 percent, and Brassard, 18th in the league at 54.8, have combined with the always reliable Dom Moore (51.
