Somehow, a scoreless game seemed one-sided, with one side holding what seemed to be the ultimate advantage.
It was Game 7 of the Eastern Conference final and, somewhat predictably, Henrik Lundqvist was surpassing the bar he had set so high in his previous six Game 7s, looking the part of a Hall of Famer in his prime, looking like the most motivated person in a sold-out Madison Square Garden, swatting and swallowing and blocking every Lightning shot capable of threatening the Rangers’ season.
Through two periods, Lightning goaltender Ben Bishop was an afterthought, making necessary saves, while Lundqvist made spectacular stops.
