After missing her team's trip to Japan and two regular season games New York native Taylor Holze is finally back on the ice with the Riveters.
On Sunday, December 6th New York Riveters forward Taylor Holze was injured when she was boarded into the open door of the Boston Pride's bench. Holze has been out of the lineup ever since the scary injury which meant her missing the team's trip to Japan as well as the two most recent regular season games before and after the exhibition series.
The freak play that resulted in Holze's injury served as the catalyst for an NWHL rule change regarding the bench door being closed almost all of the time with a few exceptions that are listed in the video above from the NWHL's Player Safety board.
