The long-rumored trade for Patrick Kane to the New York Rangers is going to become official pending a trade call this evening after 5 PM ET.
First reported by Frank Seravalli of the Daily Faceoff, New York will send a conditional second round pick and a fourth round pick to the Chicago Blackhawks for Patrick Kane.
Per Elliotte Friedman, the condition will be the second becomes a first if the Rangers win two rounds. However, that first will be in either 2024 or 2025.
It’s also expected that Chicago will retain 50% of his Kane’s cap hit and the third team has yet to be identified.
