With opening night just as few days away, the New York Rangers were quick to make their decisions on the final roster. A number of young players who appeared to contend for jobs with the varsity have ended up in Hartford and it looks like the team is going with more veteran players.

There are actually few surprises in this group The first surprise is that the team is going to carry 22 players instead of the maximum 23. That is purely a salary cap issue. They currently have $1,829,367 in cap space, but still have to sign Micheal Haley who has apparently made the team.
