New York Rangers defenseman Ryan Lindgren left Sunday's 5-2 win over the New York Islanders with a leg injury sustained in the second period.
Lindgren fell awkwardly into a corner on the back end of a hit from Islanders forward Jean-Gabriel Pageau and was eventually led into the his club's locker room. As he was falling, he reached for his leg and could be heard screaming.
After the win, Rangers coach Peter Laviolette told reporters that Lindgren was still being evaluated by staff and that the concern was for the veteran's left knee.
