Earlier today the Rangers announced the roster for tomorrow night’s preseason opener against the rival New York Islanders. At 7:00 p.m. tomorrow we’ll get to see a number of new faces including the Rangers seventh overall pick in the 2017 Draft, Tony Deangelo, the team’s new back-up goaltender and several players who are going to be staples in Hartford.

This is a big game for youngsters like Andersson, DeAngelo and Pionk. The same can be said of the Rangers two veterans on PTOs. Farnham and Desjardins are going to have to play high-tempo hockey if they want to make an impression tomorrow night.
