GLENDALE, Ariz. — Rick Nash, in no danger of losing his spot in the lineup, was sidelined for the second straight game Saturday night against the Coyotes, No. 61 still not fully recovered from the back issue that arose at Thursday’s practice.
Meanwhile, Dan Boyle, who conceivably could face competition from Dylan McIlrath for the sixth defenseman’s spot according to coach Alain Vigneault, returned after sitting out two straight as a healthy scratch.
“Rick had another good day [of rehab] but he’s just not good enough to go,” Vigneault said before the Blueshirts’ 4-1 victory.
