The New York Rangers have signed K’Andre Miller to an entry-level contract, according to Cap Friendly.
The 2018 first-round selection had recently finished his sophomore season at Wisconsin. The contract begins next season, meaning that the Rangers will get three full seasons of Miller on his entry-level contract.
Miller was supposedly poised to join the Hartford Wolf Pack for the remainder of the 2019-2020 season on an amateur tryout agreement. Obviously, abrupt hiatus for practically every sports league, the AHL included, throws a wrench into this plan. Nobody knows what rules will be in place when the NHL and AHL continue this season, if it even happens, but Miller would theoretically be eligible to play for Hartford in the playoffs.
