According to hockey insider Elliotte Friedman, the Rangers have placed veteran forward Micheal Haley on waivers.

The rugged forward spent ten games with the Rangers this season after making the team on a PTO. Haley scored a goal in his limited time with the squad, and racked up 40 penalty minutes.
Haley’s spot in David Quinn’s lineup was never going to be more than as an extra forward. And with Kaapo Kakko battling the flu bug and Mika Zibanejad recovering from an upper-body injury, the door was opened for Haley to skate for the Blueshirts.
