The Rangers will try to put the brakes on a four-game home losing streak tonight against the Hurricanes, who’ve won six of the last eight, including victories over the Sharks, Capitals and Canadiens.
Only two of those games were decided by more than a goal, so the Rangers, who were beaten 3-2 in Raleigh on Oct. 28, are expecting another tight one.
Henrik Lundqvist (10-6-1, 2.43 GAA, .915 save percentage ) and Cam Ward (7-6-3, 2.24, .918) are the starting goalies. Ward is 6-2-2 in November. In an odd schedule twist, the Hurricanes also visit Madison Square Garden on Saturday afternoon after a quick trip to Boston.
