Right now, Rangers coach Alain Vigneault doesn’t have much of an option but to play Oscar Lindberg.
The 24-year-old Swedish forward made his season debut in Sunday’s 3-2 win over the Coyotes at the Garden, his first game since he underwent hip surgery May 6. He missed all of training camp and was only activated off injured reserve Sunday morning, when it was clear the spasms in Chris Kreider’s neck were not going to subside.
Kreider still wasn’t able to practice on Tuesday and was ruled out for the game against the Bruins at the Garden on Wednesday night.
