Immediately following the long-awaited re-signing of defenseman Tony DeAngelo, the New York Rangers announced that the team made four more cuts from its training camp roster.
Three of the four players who got the axe today are defenseman, which is not altogether surprising with DeAngelo joining the team in camp. With DeAngelo back in the fold, there are 15 defensemen still in camp including Mason Geertsen, Matthew Robertson, Joey Keane, and veteran defenseman Joe Morrow. Morrow is with the Rangers on a PTO.
