The New York Rangers traded fan favorite Mats Zuccarello to the Dallas Stars on Saturday, TSN reported, ending the Norwegian winger's nine-year tenure with the team.
According to TSN, the Stars traded two conditional draft picks -- a second-rounder in 2019 and a third-round pick in 2020 -- to the Rangers. The second-rounder becomes a first-round pick if the Stars win two playoff rounds this season. The third-rounder becomes a first-rounder if Zuccarello signs with Dallas this summer, when he's due to become an unrestricted free agent.
Zuccarello, 31, has 11 goals and 26 assists in 46 games this season, warming up after a slow start.
