The Rangers have made their first move of the trade deadline season, sending Cody McLeod back to Nashville for a 2020 7th round pick. The Rangers claimed McLeod off waivers from Nashville last season, and McLeod re-signed in New York this year. For his Rangers career, McLeod put up a line of 1-2-3 in 56 games.
The fact that the Rangers got something for McLeod is surprising, since he’s been a non-factor and downright bad all year. But hey, they got an extra dart to throw at the board in 2020. That’s a win.
