The New York Rangers have signed goalie Tyler Wall, their 2016 6th round pick. Wall just finished his senior season at UMass-Lowell, where he put together some great numbers. His senior season, his best, saw him post an 18-8-6 record with a 2.10 GAA and a .931 SV%.
Wall will join Adam Huska in Hartford, where both will fight for the starting role with the Wolf Pack. Huska struggled with Hartford this past season, so it wouldn’t be a surprise if Wall has the inside track to start.
This signing has no impact on the NHL goalie conundrum, at all.
