Rangers Sign Gerbe, 1 year $600k

The Rangers have agreed to terms with free agent forward Nathan Gerbe, formally of the Carolina Hurricanes.

The diminutive winger played in just 47 games last season with the Hurricanes. He had 7 points in that span playing in a depth forward role.

In 2015-16 he had 28 points (including 10 goals) in 78 games for Carolina, Viktor Stalberg’s new home.

Gerbe missed significant time last season after being on the receiving end of a Kyle Clifford hit in late November.
