The Rangers have signed goalie Adam Huska to an entry level deal. Huska, the Rangers’ 7th round pick in 2015, has spent the last three seasons with UConn. UConn is not a strong team at all, but Huska has put up relatively impressive numbers there, posting a .916 SV% in his freshman season, followed by a .912 SV% last year and .896 SV% this year.
Since Huska is 21, his ELC is a two-year deal, not the usual three years we see. He will make $925k at the NHL level. If you assume Hank and Georgiev are going to continue in the NHL next year, then Huska is currently pencilled in as the starter in Hartford.
